Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 May 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and {LEGAL ENTITY NAME} (“Stashcord”, “we”, “us”) and govern your access to and use of the Stashcord web app, mobile apps, browser extension, Discord bot, APIs, and any related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in jurisdictions where that is the minimum digital-consent age) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at {CONTACT EMAIL} if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law, or if your account creates risk to us or other users.
License to use the Service
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business use. The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is and remains our property (or our licensors’).
Your content
You retain all rights in the content you stash, upload, or otherwise submit to the Service (“Your Content”). You are responsible for Your Content, including making sure you have the rights necessary to save, archive, and store it.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, and create necessary derivative copies of Your Content solely to operate the Service for you — for example, generating thumbnails, creating archived snapshots, indexing for search, and serving Your Content back to your devices. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups that age out on a normal schedule and content you have shared publicly that others may have copied.
You must not stash or upload content that violates our Acceptable Use Policy or applicable law.
Archived third-party content
When you save a link, the Service may fetch and store a snapshot of the linked page so it remains available to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to archive that material. We make no claim of ownership over third-party content and we do not endorse any content reached by a link. If you are a rights-holder and believe content has been archived in a way that infringes your rights, please follow our DMCA / copyright process.
Plans, billing, and refunds
The Service is offered in free and paid tiers. Paid subscriptions (including storage add-ons) are billed through our payments provider, Polar, on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices, features, and limits for each plan are described on our pricing page and may change with reasonable notice.
You authorize us, through Polar, to charge your selected payment method for the recurring subscription fee plus any applicable taxes until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
EU/UK consumers: If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services starting the day you sign up. By using the Service during this period (for example, by saving content), you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose this right of withdrawal once performance has begun. Outside this statutory right, subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Service availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will give you reasonable notice before making material adverse changes to paid features.
Acceptable use
You agree to comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate it.
Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party services such as Discord, OAuth identity providers, and AI assistants via the MCP protocol. Your use of these third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or content they make available.
Intellectual property and DMCA
We respect intellectual property rights and expect you to do the same. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please send a notice in accordance with our DMCA policy.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or applicable law, if continued provision of the Service to you poses a security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive (for example, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive termination.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that archived content will remain available indefinitely. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Stashcord, its affiliates, or their respective directors, officers, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US$100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or statutory consumer rights).
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Stashcord harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or Your Content infringing the rights of a third party — except to the extent such claim arises from our negligence or willful misconduct.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of {GOVERNING JURISDICTION}, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute will be the competent courts of {VENUE}, except where mandatory law gives you a right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will give you reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-app notice). Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
